
WBB drops season opener to Wiley
HAWKINS, Texas – The Jarvis Christian women's basketball team fell to Wiley College, 75-60 in the season opener Saturday afternoon at the E.W. Rand Center.
Faith Robinson led the Bulldogs with 17 points in the season opener. Micah McCrea joined Robinson as the only other Bulldog to break double digits in points as she scored 14.
Robinson also had 11 rebounds as she posted a double-double in her first performance of the year. She also had three assists and two steals in the effort.
Alexis Hordge and Raniya White each had five rebounds in the game. Hordge put up eight points, while White had two points.
Wiley outscored JCU in three of the four quarters in Saturday's game. The teams each scored 16 points in the third quarter.
Up Next
The Bulldogs will head to San Antonio next weekend to compete in the Our Lady of the Lake University Halo Classic. JCU will play SAGU on Friday at 4 p.m. before playing North American on Saturday at 3 p.m.
