Guereca earns RRAC Player of the Week Honors
WACO, Texas – For the second time this season, Mitzy Guereca was recognized as the Red River Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Guereca had a stellar performance over the weekend as she booted in four goals to help the Bulldogs take an 8-0 win over Texas College. The junior midfielder from Fort Worth, Texas, had two assists to go along with her four goals. Guereca is at the top of the conference in both goals (10) and assists (5). JCU improved to 2-1 in conference play and 5-4 on the season.
Guereca was last recognized as the women's soccer offensive player of the week for the week of Sept. 5-11.
"I am so proud of Mitzy's performace at Texas College over the weekend," JCU Soccer Head Coach David Martinez said. "She has been a key player for us all season and has stepped up when we need her to perform. I am excited to see how the rest of the season plays out for her as we continue through a tough conference schedule."
