Soccer players receive All-Conference honors
WACO, Texas – Following the completion of the 2022 soccer season for the Jarvis Christian men's and women's soccer teams, three student-athletes from each team received All-Conference honors from the Red River Athletic Conference.
Johan Arevalo from the men's team and Mitzy Guereca from the women's team each received first-team all-conference honors as they both led their teams this season. Arevalo finished the regular season as the conference leader in goals and points. He booted in 13 goals and had five assists as he accumulated 31 points for the season. Guereca finished the regular season tied at second in the conference in goals with 11. She also had 28 points, which ranked second in the RRAC.
Leslie Guereca from women's soccer garnered second-team all-conference honors and all-freshman team recognition for her performance this season. Leslie earned 17 starts and scored one goal to go along with three assists for the season.
Kevin Ochoa from men's soccer earned honorable mention all-conference and all-freshman team honors. Ochoa appeared in 14 games and earned nine starts as he tallied five goals on 12 total shots for the season.
Kayla Ochoa from women's soccer and Obed Sepulveda from men's soccer earned spots on the Champions of Character Team.
