
WS comes up short against LCU
HAWKINS, Texas – The Jarvis Christian women's soccer team lost to Louisiana Christian, 3-1 Thursday afternoon at the Wendon L. Blair Soccer Field on campus.
The Bulldogs fall to 5-10-1 overall and 2-7-1 in conference play.
Mitzy Guereca scored the only goal for JCU as she booted in a goal in the 33rd minute to cut the LCU lead to 2-1. The goal marked Guereca's 11th of the season. The Wildcats held on to the lead and then scored just seconds before the 90th minute to take a 3-1 win.
The Wildcats outshot the Bulldogs, 16-5 in the contest. A mix of four other Bulldogs had shots in the match in addition to Guereca's one shot and goal.
Hailey Rivera got the start at the goalie position and allowed the three goals. She recorded six saves in the loss.

The Bulldogs wrap up the regular season at home Saturday for a 1 p.m. match against LSU-Alexandria.
