Men's soccer releases 2022 schedule
HAWKINS, Texas – JCU Men's Soccer Head Coach David Martinez announced the 2022 schedule today, which includes 11 home contests.
The season starts with two scrimmages on August 20, and 25. The Bulldogs will travel to Centenary College and Letourneau University.
The first official game will be played on August 27 at home against Texas Wesleyan. The schedule features 11 home games and seven contests on the road. The Bulldogs start conference play on the road at Paul Quinn on September 22. Conference play then wraps up with back-to-back home games against Louisiana Christian University on October 27 and LSU-Alexandria on October 29.
The men's soccer team is coming off a 4-10-3 record during the 2021 season, with a 3-6-2 mark in Red River Athletic Conference action.
"I am excited to see how this team has developed since last year," Martinez said. "Most of the team were freshmen, and we were able to get good results against big teams in the conference. Most of the team stayed together and the recruiting class for this fall is full of experience and is ready to join us. We will be surprising the Red River Conference again."
