
Men’s Soccer falls to Huston-Tillotson
HAWKINS, Texas – Johan Arevalo booted in two goals in Thursday afternoon's match, but that was not enough as the Jarvis Christian men's soccer team was defeated by Huston-Tillotson, 4-2.
The Bulldogs move to 4-3-2 overall and 1-2-1 in conference action. The Rams improve to 4-4 and 2-3 in conference with the win.
Jommar Reyes scored three goals in the match to help lift the Rams to their second conference win of the season. Reyes scored his first goal in the 6th minute to give the Rams an early lead.
Arevalo answered with a goal just before halftime in the 37th minute to tie the match. Orlando Rodriguez was charged with the assist.
Reyes would score again in the 49th minute to give the Rams a lead they would not give up. Albright Suh followed with another goal in the 56th minute before Reyes scored his third goal of the day in the 73rd minute to give the Rams a 4-1 advantage.
Arevalo would score shortly after in the 74th minute off an assist by Jesus Saenz.
With the two goals today, Arevalo continues to lead the team in goals scored with seven under his belt now this season. His seven goals ranks as the second most currently in the Red River Athletic Conference.

The Bulldogs stay home to continue conference play Saturday against Houston-Victoria. The men are set to play at 3:30 p.m. at the Wendon L. Blair Soccer Field on campus.
