Thomas & Bryant Earn National Ranking

Hawkins, Texas - The Jarvis Christian University Women's Wrestling team continues to make history in their inaugural season.  The announcement comes from 2022-2023 NAIA Women's Wrestling Coaches' top 20 Individual National Rankings.

191 lb Samyra Thomas moved up in the rankings from 18th to 15th 

170 lb Natalie Bryant moved into the rankins for the first time to claim a spot at 20th

 

Coach Brown stated, "Our women work extremely hard to prepare each week.  I feel like everyone has something special to contribute, we also seem on the verge of breaking into the top 20 with all of our women on the team."  He also stated, "JCU received 9 votes as a team towards the overall Team National Rankings for the NAIA ahead of Lourdes (Ohio); Lyon (Arkansas); York (Nebraska), and Vanguard (California).

The Jarvis Christian University Men's and Women's Wrestling teams will be competing at Texas Wesleyan University on December 9th at 6pm in Ft. Worth, TX. Following the Christmas break, both teams will travel to Wichita, Kansas to the Friends Invitational on January 6th and 7th of the new year 2023.
