Arevalo selected as RRAC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
WACO, Texas – For the second time this season, Johan Arevalo was recognized as the Red River Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. He was also recognized for the same award for the week of Sept. 5-11.
Arevalo was credited with three goals and an assist while playing a part in each of the Bulldogs' goals in a 0-2 week. The sophomore forward from Mission, Texas, scored JCU's lone goal in a 5-1 loss to Texas A&M University-San Antonio on Thursday, and he accounted for a pair of goals and an assist in a 4-3 defeat at the hands of Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas) on Saturday. Arevalo leads the RRAC in goals (11), and he is second in points (25). The Bulldogs slipped to 1-5-1 in conference play and 4-6-2 on the season.
The Bulldogs return to the field Thursday for a 3:30 p.m. matchup at Texas A&M-Texarkana.
