JCU announces 2022 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees

HAWKINS, Texas – JCU Athletics will induct 10 new members into the JCU Athletic Hall of Fame during an enshrinement luncheon that will take place Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the E.W. Rand Center on campus.

The luncheon is a public event that will honor 10 exceptional past athletes and coaches from across the university's 110-year history. Tickets to attend the event can be purchased for $75 per person. Sponsorships and tickets can be purchased online at www.jarvis.edu/donate or by Cash App at $JCC1912.

The event will feature guest speaker Anthony "Spud" Webb who is a former NBA basketball player who is 5-foot, 6-inches tall and is one of the shortest professional basketball players in NBA history. He is known for winning the 1986 All-Star Slam Dunk Championship while beating out legends like Michael Jordan and Dominique Wilkins.

  • Kerry L. Sandifer – Men's Basketball – 1984
  • Essie Faggett – Women's Basketball – 1985
  • Eugene Smith – Baseball – 1975
  • Kimmie Davis-Dailey – Softball – 1987
  • Glenn Chism – Tennis – 1965
  • Patricia Dabney – Volleyball – 1988
  • Rev. Warren Smith Jr. – Football – 1963
  • Ryan Morgan – Men's Soccer – 2000
  • William Henderson – Men's Track and Field – 1991
  • Coach Mrs. Libbie T. Jackson (Deceased) – Volleyball, Basketball, Cheerleading, and Dance – Award will be accepted by her daughter Kristi Jackson-Harris and her son Dr. Kevin Jackson
