JCU Baseball Picked To Finish 8th In Pre-Seaon Coaches Poll
The Jarvis Christian Bulldogs were picked to finish 8th in a pre-season poll submitted by each head coach in the Red River Conference. The Bulldogs are under the direction of 2nd year Head Coach Dion Holbrook and finished last year's campaign with an overall record of 22 wins - 29 losses and (15-15) in conference play. The Bulldogs improved overall in their 22-23 season efforts by heading back to the conference tournament after a 3 year hiatus.
LSUS claimed the RRAC regular season championship again last year and achieved a ranking of No. 2 in the final regular season NAIA poll of 2023. The Pilots lost in the opening round of the national tournament but are positioned for another national title run.
LSU Alexandria is projected to finish second this season, followed by Louisiana Christian in third. Last year's RRAC tournament champion, Houston-Victoria, moved up to fourth in this year's poll.
Our Lady of the Lake earned a fifth-place selection, followed by Texas A&M-Texarkana, Southwest and Jarvis Christian.
