
Women's 4 x1 Sets School Record
The Women's Track & Field Team competed in the 2023 MC Spring Cleaning Classic over the weekend hosted by Mississippi College and set a new school record. The members of the Women's 4x100 relay team qualified for the NAIA National Championships for a second time in two years with a time of 47.63.

At the NAIA National Championships last year, the team placed a time of 49.43 and did not qualify for the final heat of the race. The national champion from last year (Indiana Tech) finished in first place with a time of 45.55.
Kiana Johnson took 6th place out of 49 in the Women's 100 Meter Race at this weekends meet with a time of 12.32, missing the National Championship qualifying time at 11.90.
Keshuna Byrd took 4th place out of 25 in the Women's Discuss Throw with a mark of 38.27m, missing the National Championship qualifying mark of 44.00m.
On The Men's Side:
Obiajulu Onyeachonam took 14th place out of 56 in the Men's 100 Meter Race at this weekends meet with a time of 11.14, missing the National Championship qualifying time of 10.50. He also took 12th place out of 73 in the Men's 200 Meter Race with a time of 22.56. The National Championship qualifying time for that event is 21.35.
Alton Davis took took 7th out of 45 in the Men's 400 Meter Race with a time of 49.73. The National Championship qualifying time for that event is 48.15.

The Men's 4x100 Relay Team finished in 4th place with a time of 42.98, missing the National Championship qualifying time of 41.40.
