
2023 RRAC Women's T&F Championship Outlook
The Jarvis Christian University Women’s Track & Field team has been performing exceptionally well in recent times. At the Red River Athletic Conference Track & Field Championships, Keshuna Byrd came in first place in the women’s shot put with an impressive throw of 12.32m. Byrd's outstanding performance did not stop there; she also threw 30.00m in the hammer throw, placing her 5th in that event. Ms. Byrd also took the runner-up spot in the discus with a throw of 39.91m.
Philomena Imoka also made an impressive performance, throwing 26.12m, placing her 7th in the hammer throw.
The women’s 4x1 relay team, consisting of Tamara Beasley, Garlanesha Hickman-Gilbert, Tennille French and Kiana Johnson, made an incredible performance placing 3rd in the 4x1 with a time of 47.23. This amazing feat has qualified them for Nationals, and they are all set to represent the team and the university in the upcoming competition.
Garlanesha Hickman-Gilbert competed in the women’s 200m race and finished with a time of 25.60 in which she placed 3rd.
The Jarvis Christian University Women’s Track & Field team has been putting in a lot of hard work and dedication, and it shows in their performances.
The team's success is attributed to their hard work, dedication, and teamwork. They have been training together, supporting each other, and pushing themselves to their limits to achieve their goals. The team has shown that with determination and hard work, anything is possible.
