
2023 RRAC Men's T&F Championship Outlook
This past weekend, the Red River Athletic Conference held the 2023 RRAC Men's Track & Field Championships in San Antonio, TX.
During the event, the JCU Men’s Track & Field team had some notable athletes. Kendrick Duirden showcased his exceptional skills by winning the Discus with a throw of 36.7m, placing 3rd in the hammer throw with a 30.30m mark, and 3rd in shot put with a mark of 11.69m.
The Men’s 4x1 relay team, comprised of Jaylin Alexander, Alton Davis, Tyre Tucker, and Obiajulu Onyeachonam, also put on an impressive show, placing 2nd with a time of 41.40. Their speed and precision has qualified them for the 2023 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Other notable athletes include Charles Bouvay, who achieved a mark of 20.87m in the hammer throw, Rodolfo Ocampo, who had a throw of 25.62m in the hammer throw and 9.16 in the shot put, and Joseph Anderson, who placed 3rd in the triple jump with a mark of 15.14m. Anderson has qualified for the 2023 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the triple jump event.
The Men’s 4x4 relay team also performed well, with a time of 3:23 placing them in 3rd. Overall, the Jarvis Christian University’s Men’s track and field team has shown great potential and dedication, and we can't wait to see what they accomplish in the future.
