
Lady Bulldogs Defeat Texas College 78-59
The Lady Bulldogs defeated Texas College 78-59 on Tuesday night in Tyler, Texas. The conference win propels Jarvis Christian to an overall Red River Athletic Conference record of (2-3) on the season and a (5-4) overall team record.
Raniya White (JR - Orlando, FL) led the Lady Bulldogs in all scores with 20 points on the night. Ne'Khyria Rogers (FR - Dallas, TX) followed with 14 points, 1 steal, and 2 blocked shots. Faith Robinson (JR - Monroe, LA) continued her streak of double-doubles with 16 points and 10 rebounds. She continues to lead the Red River Conference in points per game with 19.2 and ranks 2nd in the conference in rebounds at 11.1 per game. Jarvis Christian fell behind Texas College after the first quarter score of 16-14, but would go on to lead each quarter after; resulting in the final score of 78-59. The Lady Bulldogs out paced Texas College in all categories shooting 50.8% from the field and 42.9% from beyond the arc. Jarvis out rebounded Texas College 34 rebounds to 24 rebounds. The biggest factor in the score was their ability to minimize turnovers, while creating points from steals and bad passes from the Lady Steers.
The Women's Basketball Team (2-3) (5-4) will hit the road for a Red River Conference matchup vs The University of Southwest (0-4) (2-8) in Hobbs, NM on December 17th. Tip off is schelduled for 3:00pm CST.
