Jarvis Christian Softball Picked #9 In RRAC Pre-Season Poll
First year softball coach, Tony Quinones and the Lady Bulldogs have their work cut out for them after being picked #9 for the 2024 Red River pre-season softball poll. Coach Quinones inherits a team that finished the 2023 season with an overall record of 26 wins - 24 losses, (10-16) in Red River Conference play. The Lady Bulldogs secured the 7th seed into the conference tournament last year but ultimately came up short with 2 quick season ending losses to Texas A&M San Antonio and Texas A&M Texarkana.
The Saints reached the NAIA Softball World Series for the first time and posted a record of 51-8 on the season. They received seven first-place votes for this season.
Houston-Victoria placed second in the poll and received two first-place selections. Texas A&M-San Antonio, which finished as the runner-up in the RRAC tournament last year, received one first-place nod and landed in third overall.
Louisiana Christian, LSU Alexandria and Texas A&M-Texarkana claimed the next three spots.
