Men's Soccer Defeats Texas Wesleyan
Hawkins, TX - August 26, 2023
The 2023 Jarvis Christian University Men's Soccer team showed up and showed out on a hot day where tempatures reached 106 on the field to claim their first win of the season. Jarvis was able to outshoot Texas Wesleyan University and take the victory with a score of 7-3. Johan Arevalo (a 2022 1st Team All Confence selection) led all Bulldogs with 1 assist on the day and 2 scored goals. Kevin Ochoa was just as impressive with 4 shots on goal; connecting on 2 scored goals against the Rams. Newcomer Rafael Mendoza chipped in with one goal and one assist. Jarvis Christian will move on to their next non conference opponent as they play host to another member of the Sooner Conference in Wayland Baptist University. The match is scheduled for Thursday August 31st, 2023 on the campus of Jarvis Christian University. Game time starts at 3:30 PM.
